 SKILL LEVELS

  • INTRO: the student is introduced to gross locomotor skills, simple rhythms, counting, and basic positions.

  • LEVEL 1: beginner dancers with little to no experience. The student will learn basic ballet positions and simple steps, be able to perform simple single and double sound tap steps and recognize where the “downbeat” falls. Jazz will include warm-up, stretches, isolations, simple steps and progressions, and the introduction to balance and simple turns.

  • LEVEL 2: beginner/intermediate to intermediate students who usually have 3-4 years experience. In all dance genres the student builds upon previously introduced techniques. The student should know placement and alignment. Steps, progressions, variations, turns, leaps, and rhythm patterns have increased and other time signatures are introduced in this level.

  • LEVEL 3: Intermediate/advanced to advanced students who usually have 7 or more years experience. This is a more advanced dancer who has an understanding and awareness of self in respect to knowing and being “ABLE” to implement Level 3. There is a maturity and understanding of port de bras, projection, and the performance aspects of dance.

LATE FEES

  • Any invoice/outstanding balance not paid within ten (10) days of each billing cycle (1st of every month) is subject to a $34 late fee charge. If payment is not received by the 10th of the month an additional $34 will be billed each additional ten (10) days until payment is received.

Excused absences are allowed by cancelling the class on Momence on the date you will be absent or emailing studio@elevatedancecompany.com

REFUNDS

Elevate Dance Company does not give credit or refunds for class(es) missed due to holiday, vacation, illness, weather, unexcused absences, lack of interest, etc. The one-time season registration fee is non-refundable and parents/guardians of dancers must provide a 14 day notice prior to dropping their child from a class to prevent incurring a charge.
